[Dragon Age: Origins] 30 Prompts
This is a journal run by
formidable who needs to write more despite RPing a lot. Original, fanfic, poetry, whatever! We certainly don't want to spam the main journal for those sort of shenanigans. I'll probably write requests here too if I feel like it. And to start off this writing journal, we're doing fanfiction! Oops.
30 Prompt sets taken from here. Set one will be mainly about the F!Human noble origin from Dragon Age: Origins. I named her Ophelia Couslandrainbows, rainbows everywhere.
001. What little remained of the Cousland Castle when Ophelia returned to Highever was a reflection of what her heart was before; charred with darkness, empty, and barely any hope left.
002. Alistair mourned the loss of Duncan and the other Grey Wardens, but Ophelia firmly reminded him that she was still there and that she needed him too.
003. It was as if the people Ophelia Cousland came to care for the most- her family, Ser Gilmore and everyone in Highever, and Duncan- were the ones who she could never properly send off.
004. "They keep shooting glances at each other when they think no one is looking. It's rather cute!" giggled Leliana, but her observation only earned a scoff from Morrigan who quite frankly thought the Warden and Alistair were a bit sickening in their obvious affections.
005. Ophelia didn't know what to make of Zevran Arainai's reaction upon bestowing him the Dalish Gloves and Zevran in turn could at first not make out that the Warden's gift was at its base simple kindness.
006. The Deep Roads was a dark and deep place and although she did not want to acknowledge it, the Warden knew this was to be her fate and any others who followed her path.
007. Leliana had plenty of inspiration for composing songs and poetry while traveling with the Warden; stopping the Blight, ceasing a civil war, and a dash of romance helped cement a perfectly epic tale that she could orate for years to come.
008. Ophelia could not bring herself to let the mages of the Circle Tower perish despite the disaster brought upon by one mage; it was time to summon a bit of her own magic called, determination.
009. Wynne was trying to get Oghren to use the soap and razor and while Ophelia didn't mind his beard, the temptation to push him into the nearest river to be rid of the stench of ale emanating from the dwarf was tempting.
010. Everyone in her traveling party had a secret or two that she had to work at coaxing out from them, but it was nice her mabari had no secrets, just an uncomplicated need for love, affection, and tasty treats.
011. Admittedly, Ophelia was weary of mages at first due to the teachings of the Chantry, but quickly realized that Morrigan and Wynne were critical allies during her journey.
012. From battling the undead at Redcliffe, to felling the dragon in the mountains, everything she had done used to be the stuff of stories that Nan would tell her when she was a child.
013. The Joining was so simple and the stakes high, but there was no test she felt she could not endure after becoming the last of her line.
014. Poking fun at Alistair was a bit too easy and Ophelia felt bad when she did it, but to her surprise, he told her that if it was from her, he didn't mind as much.
015. The darkness that settled around the camp in Ostagar and the rumbling noises from above eerily reminded the Cousland of the night crackling fire destroyed her family and home; there was no calm in her heart and nothing she could do to stop the coming storm.
016. Sharing the berries she and Wynne found with the others made her feel like she had an actual family again.
017. Her skills in wielding dual weapons were exceptional, but the Warden had seen Zevran fight, to the point where he was practically a weapon himself.
018. She had been traveling around Ferelden for quite some time, but when she finally reached Denerim the scent of ocean air teased her, but she couldn't afford to follow it.
019. The Warden didn't exactly know what direction she was headed as she built up the army needed to face the archdemon; she just knew what to do, but where to go was simply done on a whim.
020. She had laughed, screamed, whispered, and even expressed sadness, but very few people had seen the Warden come close to tears.
021. When everyone's expectations were too much for Ophelia, she could count on her mabari to say nothing when she did something that could have been questionable otherwise.
022. One thorough bathing at Arl Eamon's estate left her smelling faintly of sweet perfume, but it would never wash away the layers of past battles.
023. Alistair sometimes wondered what would have happened if she wasn't there with him at the Battle of Ostagar.
024. Bodahn's wagon made for a nice ride as well as a good place to nap as Ophelia found out later although she had to make sure Sandal wasn't in there to interrupt with, "Enchantment!"
025. What made up the majority of the journey was searching for dwarves, elves, alliances, promises, intrigue, betrayal, each other, and most of all themselves.
026. [The End] The remaining Cousland had finally killed Howe, but there was no finality in their encounter, only bitterness.
027. [First] "You'll be my first AND my last, so don't you worry," Ophelia said warmly to a flustered Alistair.
028. [Friend] Despite all the uncertainty, the disagreements, disapproval, and finally knowing the price to save her and Alistair's lives, the Warden saw Morrigan's eyes flicker with faint regret and knew the witch really did treasure their friendship even in these dire circumstances.
029. [Quiet] All the adventure and excitement couldn't compare to the moments of peace she found sitting next to the quiet Sten and the hum of Leliana's stringed instrument.
030. [Fashion] Ophelia promised Shale that she would find a way to make a necklace out of all the shiny stones she gifted to the golem.
AND DONE wow I did it *A*
