[Dragon Age: Origins] 30 Prompts II

Now starring Elsa Cousland and Sabine Surana (and maybe Felix Amell). Because AUs with more than one Warden are the most fun. Takes place during Origins and Awakenings.

001. "It's never boring with our traveling party don't you agree?" Sabine remarked blithely as she and a bewildered Elsa watched the noblewoman's mabari run off with Oghren's cask with the infuriated dwarf in hot pursuit.

002. The spilled blood of Teryn Loghain at the Landsmeet and Alistair's look of bitter triumph left Sabine conflicted as well as Elsa.

003. As far as Elsa Cousland was concerned, despite the motley crew she found herself saddled with, the Grey Warden was going to need all the help she could get.

004. "The Blight isn't yours alone to end Sabine," Elsa said gently to the elven mage, "it's a burden we all share- you, me, Alistair, and everyone else."

005. In time, they both had no time to feel regret for the wrongs done to them in the past, but rather they felt only the need to keep moving forward so they could make a better future.

006. "You know, it's hard being sneaky in a tiny place like this," Sabine remarked as she and the party were surrounded by the angry villagers of Haven.

007. Sabine asked Duncan for his dagger before taking her first step outside the Circle Tower and left the cut hair at the feet of the templars and the First Enchanter as evidence of her existence and rejection her old and meaningless life.

008. "It worked out well Lady Cousland. You get Alistair, I have Zevran, and it looks like Amell is getting along swimmingly with our Orlesian bard."

009. "I found him out in the Black Marshes. Can we keep him?" Sabine asked hopefully as she introduced a flabbergasted Cousland to an intimidating (and decaying) Justice while Anders and Nathaniel avoided her questioning gaze by glancing to the side.

010. The usual banter that occurred among them seemed to die down as they headed towards Ostagar and the unsavory memories that lingered there.

011. Elsa and Alistair worried for Sabine as she grew closer to Zevran who was by no means a saint.

012. Blades clashed and eyes were lit with hatred as Elsa Cousland engaged in battle with Rendon Howe for the first and last time.

013. Sabine's voice intermingled with Leliana's song and the pangs of homesickness and heartache for Highever and her family returned to Elsa once again.

014. "Ah, my dear Grey Warden, perhaps you would be more accepting of my advice concerning your, ah, visitations with Alistair?" teased Zevran causing Elsa to shake her head furiously.

015. Alistair felt Sabine's accusing stare and he quickly looked away from Elsa's... form.

016. "Don't... don't let them die! Please don't let them kill everyone!" Sabine begged Elsa and Alistair when they were given the choice of siding with the Templars or saving the Circle Tower.

017. In the past, she lived a life of a noblewoman who had been cared for, but now Elsa found herself caring back for the least likely people in the present.

018. Elsa and Sabine gave each other a knowing look as Leliana had one of her passionate talks about the Maker and his goodness.

019. "Found you!" Zevran and Sabine said in unison as they freed Alistair and Elsa from their prison cell in Fort Drakon.

020. Sabine wasn't bad at battlefield tactics, but the execution of her orders were something else: "Morrigan, you and Leliana attack with projectiles from afar, Shale can squish anyone who tries to get near you and Oghren can be my meat shield."

021. Their hearts were all, but closed off, but after traveling with one another, it was hard not to alleviate the pain when talking amongst themselves.

022. "Elves, human... we're not so different Lady Cousland. See?" Sabine placed her palm against Elsa's so the noble could clearly see that their finger and palms were nearly identical.

023. Elsa noticed that Sabine seemed extremely restless and could have sworn she circled the Keep multiple times; the mage later admitted that it didn't seem right to sit still after their adventure in stopping the Blight.

024. "Sabine, what are you doing?" asked an incredulous Elsa as Sabine tried to imitate Sten's stoic expressions with his back turned.

025. None of them were quite heroic all the way through, but they managed somehow.

026. [Rose] "Feeling thorny aren't we?" Sabine muttered as she passed by Alistair who sputtered in surprise and Elsa to giggle.

027. [Alone] Morrigan's offer caused her great agony, not just because of what it required, but if she refused, someone would end up alone no matter who became the sacrifice.

028. [Sidetracked] At the sound of a splash Elsa turned around only to see Sabine along with Zevran and her mabari dispose of a suspicious person shaped package into a nearby well; she had a feeling she better not inquire any further.

029. [Resolve] The reason Sabine had the strongest resolve to end the Blight was because without it, she felt she was a mage with no purpose; life in the Circle gave her nothing least of all resolve.

030. [Letters] Sabine never allowed anyone at Vigil's Keep to read her letters from Zevran even though the private that stood at the front gate had an odd and giggly behavior about her as she handed the mage her messages.
